Vision of the Department :
Establish a unique learning environment to enable the students to face the challenges of the Electronics and Communication Engineering field. Promote the establishment of centers of excellence in niche technology areas to nurture the spirit of innovation and creativity among faculty and students.
Mission of the Department :
- M1 : Establish a unique learning environment to enable the students to face the challenges of the Electronics and Communication Engineering field.
- M2 : Enable students to develop skills to solve complex technological problems of current times and also provide a framework for promoting collaborative and multidisciplinary activities.
- M3 : An innovation ecosystem to extend knowledge and solve critical problems.
- M4 : Active collaboration with national & international industries & universities in the field of electronics for productivity and economic development.

Program Educational Objectives Statements :
- PEO1 : To prepare Graduates with sound foundation in fundamentals of basic sciences and to assist them exhibit strong, independent learning, analytical & problem solving skills in Electronics and Communication Engineering domain.
- PEO2 : To facilitate learning in the core field of Electronics and Communication Engineering so as to integrate technological progression and software & firmware skills to produce high impact, energy efficient and futuristic solutions.
- PEO3 : To prepare Graduates to effectively use modern equipment and programming tools to solve real life multi-disciplinary problems that are technically sound, economically feasible and socially acceptable.

Program Outcomes(POs)
- PO - 1. Engineering Knowledge : Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and Engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.
- PO - 2. Problem Analysis : Identify, formulate, research literature, and analyze engineering problems to arrive at substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural, and engineering sciences.
- PO - 3. Design/Development of Solutions : Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components, processes to meet the specifications with consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.
- PO - 4. Conduct Investigations of Complex Problems : Use research-based knowledge including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.
- PO - 5. Modern Tool Usage : Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modeling to complex engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.
- PO - 6. The Engineer and Society : Apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional engineering practice.

Program Specific Outcomes (PSOs)
- PSO - 1 : Connect learning from Core and Disciplinary/Interdisciplinary elective courses of Electronics and Communication Engineering to assimilate technological advancements in the field for analyzing and designing subsystem processes to arrive at the solution to real world problems.
- PSO - 2 : Acquire hardware and software skills pertinent to research and industry practices in the field of Electronics & Communications while acquiring soft skills like persistence, proper judgment through projects and industrial interactions.
- PSO - 3 : Ability to identify indigenous processes and components for producing high quality, compact, energy efficient and eco-friendly solutions at affordable prices for existing and new applications directly and indirectly related to Electronics & Communication industry.
- PSO - 4 : Focus on acquiring right blend of aptitude and attitude so as to be the candidate of first choice for placements and higher education or to become a successful Entrepreneur and a worthy global citizen.

From the desk of the HOD :
Mr. Amitabh Srivastava is the Head of Electronics & Communication Engineering Department of UIT Allahabad. Mr. Amitabh Srivastava obtained his Bachelor's degree, Master's degree and Ph.D (Pursuing-IoT) in Electronics & Communication.
Mr. Amitabh Srivastava has a very rich academic experience of more than 14 years from the Private Engineering colleges. He is firm believer of providing High Powered and Impact Oriented Technical Education to her disciples with main focus on quality improvement of Teaching Learning process. He has published many papers in various reputed journals and conferences. He has reviewed books of some publications and also member of expert panels and review team for international journals/conference papers. He is professional member of IETE.
