The Department Of Computer Science And Engineering
The Department of Computer Science & Engineering is a lively and invigorating academic center for higher education, research, and innovation in key areas of computing. The vision of the department is to be a center of excellence that provides high quality education to develop future leaders in all aspects of computing including education and entrepreneurship, contributes practically relevant and cutting edge research, and catalyzes IT entrepreneurship.
The department attracts talented students and faculty from all over India. The main Endeavour of the department is to develop students’ technical competence as well as creative and critical thinking ability. The department provides the students with a platform to develop insight to face real life challenges and to come out with innovative technical solutions. They are frequently evaluated with multiple assignments, hands on exercises, mini projects, surprise tests and presentations as they progress through the different programs in the department. The department uses a diversified set of pedagogical approaches that includes interactive lectures and practical hands-on excercise etc.
The team has dedicated and well qualified faculty members to facilitate high standard of teaching & learning process. These faculty members are also involved in research work attaining research publications in repute international conferences and journals.

Mission of the Department :
- M1 : Accomplish excellence with committed faculty by providing theoretical foundation and practical skills for solving complex engineering problems in the state-of-the-art trends in Computer science and allied disciplines.
- M2 : To foster skills and competency, generating novel ideas, entrepreneurship and model creations focused towards deep knowledge, interpersonal skills and leadership.

Program Outcomes(POs)
- PO - 1. Engineering Knowledge : Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.
- PO - 2. Problem Analysis : Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyse complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences and engineering sciences.
- PO - 3. Design/Development of Solutions : Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations..
- PO - 4. Conduct Investigations of Complex Problems : Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments,
analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions for complex problems:
- That cannot be solved by straightforward application of knowledge, theories and techniques applicable to the engineering discipline as against problems given at the end of chapters in a typical text book that can be solved using simple engineering theories and techniques.
- That may not have a unique solution. For example, a design problem can be solved in many ways and lead to multiple possible solutions.
- That require consideration of appropriate constraints / requirements not explicitly given in the problem statement such as cost, power requirement, durability, product life, etc.
- Which need to be defined (modelled) within appropriate mathematical framework and.
- That often require use of modern computational concepts and tools, for example, in the design of an antenna or a DSP filter.
- PO - 5. Modern Tool Usage : Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modelling to complex engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.
- PO - 6. Apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional engineering practice.
- PO - 7. Environment and Sustainability: Understand the impact of the professional engineering solutions in societal and environmental contexts, and demonstrate the knowledge of, and need for sustainable development.
- PO - 8. Ethics : Apply ethical principles and commit to professional ethics and responsibilities and norms of the engineering practice.

From the desk of the HOD :
CSE (Computer Science and Engineering) at the United Institute of Technology has its seeds in the erstwhile Institute set up in 2007. While at inception, it was primarily focused on academics, the ambit expanded on the journey to include M.Tech Programmes, Research and Placements, Research Center.
CSE Department focuses on academics, creative research, and good placements in three broad areas of computer science:
Computer Science and Engineering, including basic concepts, number theory, graph theory, design of algorithms, data structures, cryptography and security.
Computer Systems and Software, including computer architecture, operating systems, programming languages, compilers, software engineering, database systems, graphics and visualization, communication networks, and distributed computing.
Intelligent Systems, including data mining, machine learning, artificial intelligence, optimization, information retrieval, and scientific applications.
These academics and research activities find expression through publications in premier international journals and conferences. CSE is also involved in numerous scientific initiatives at the institute, state, national, and international levels, including sponsored research projects, consultancy, government programs, hackathons, journal editorship, workshops, and conferences.

Python Workshop at UCER, Allahabad in association with Softpro India Computer Technologies Pvt. Ltd
Two Days Workshop on Python was organized by the department of Computer Science Engineering at United College of Engineering & Research (UCER), Allahabad in association with Softpro India Computer Technologies Pvt. Ltd. The workshop was attended by Computer Science Engineering and Information Technology students.
Dr K.S. Babulal, HOD (Computer Science Engineering), UCER Allahabad welcomed the key speaker and also guided the students about importance of attending and learning in such type of workshop.Mr O P Yadav,Mr Abhishek Kesharwani, Mr Lalman and Mr Ramji dixit coordinated the workshop.
Mr. Brijesh Mishra, Python development trainer from Softpro India Computer Technologies Pvt. Ltd. familiarized the audience with the need of Python and Research based projects on Python. He said that by further explorations of the Python programming language students become an expert in Data Analysis and Data Science projects. He then introduced the installation of Python, Physical computing using Python, Web Architecture of Python, Web application Development (Project) and SMS API integration. It was a very enriching and knowledgeable Workshop.
Inauguration Ceremony The United Club
“The united club” which is the first formal club of UCER, organised its inauguration ceremony on 9th oct. 2017 at UCER auditorium. The function was attended by the faculty members and first year students in large numbers. The function began with the ribbon cutting ceremony by Principal UCER, (Prof) Dr. H.P. Shukla sir following which he briefed the students about the importance of extra curriculars. The coordinators of the club gave a presentation on the vision, core values and work culture of the club. They also told that they’ll also be doing social service. The first event in the series INVICTUS was also formally launched on the occasion. The function ended with the national anthem.
TECHIE OF THE YEAR - 2017 Season-3 @ UCER, Allahabad
TECHIE OF THE YEAR, a Coding Competition was conducted at UCER, Naini, Allahabad.by TECHNOPHILE society of Computer Science Engineering and Information Technology Department held on 23rd & 24th march 2017.
194 students participated in the event out of which two students from 1st year and two students from 2nd and 3rd year from CS department were selected as winner.
The prize distribution ceremony was held on 1st May 2017.The winners of the event are:
