United inks pact with Thailand’s AIT for Semester Abroad Program

Prestigious United Group and Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Thailand, Bangkok signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) regarding Semester Abroad Program, on Monday.

Vice Chairman of United Group Satpal Gulati and Vice President of AIT Dr. Nitin Tripathi signed the MoA in the presence of distinguished dignitaries at the new Corporate Relations Centre (CRC) of United College of Engineering and Research (UCER), in Naini.

Expressing gratitude towards AIT delegates, the vice chairman said that the move will help students to get exposure to studying in a global environment, honing their skills, and providing them with the best placement opportunities.

Vice President Dr. Nitin Tripathi extended his best wishes to UGI management for beginning the Semester Abroad Program. He said that the pact will give exposure to the latest market trends and entrepreneurial demands of a foreign neighboring country and, most importantly, a radical change in the students’ outlook.

Vice Chancellor, United University (UU), Prof. AM Agarwal said that the initiative would certainly ensure academic excellence of the next level for students.

United Group’s Vice President Gaurav Gulati said that United was continuously working with the vision to give global exposure to its students so that they can grow.

Missouri University, Columbia, USA

MOU has been signed between United Group and Missouri University for running coordinated Undergraduate and Postgraduate degree programmes.The first batch to benefit from the MOU would be travelling in July 2014.Faculty members from Missouri University have also travelled to our campus to deliver specialized guest lectures.

United University, United Institute of Pharmacy ink pact with Thailand’s prestigious PBRI*

United Institute of Pharmacy (UIP), Naini and United University (UU), Rawatpur, Prayagraj collaborated with Thailand’s prestigious Praboromrajchanok Institute (PBRI), on 22, Aug 2023.

PBRI is a public higher education institute for production of public health workforce under the Ministry of Public Health in Thailand.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in this regard was signed by the illustrious delegates of both the institutions during a MoU signing ceremony held at United College of Engineering and Research (UCER), Naini. The pact was inked on virtual mode.

Thailand scientists visit United, holds talk on possibilities of international collaboration after Covid-19*

As part of the faculty exchange program, two eminent scientists from Mahasarakham University (MSU), Thailand, Prof Choosak Nithikethkul and Dr. Satthakarn Chuenkomol visited United Institute of Pharmacy (UIP), Naini, on Friday.

Principal, UIP, Dr. Alok Mukherjee welcomed the foreign delegates.

Prof Nithikethkul also took a session on Multi-Drug Administration (MDA) and told pharma students about its use and importance.

He said that Albendazole, Diethylcarbamazine (DEC), and Ivermectin are the regimens recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO) to eliminate the most neglected tropical diseases in low and middle-income countries such as lymphatic filariasis, soil-transmitted helminth infections (SHTs), scabies, and impetigo.

The scientists also visited research labs of UIP and admired the facilities.

Later, an international meeting on ‘Post Pandemic Possibilities for International Collaboration’ was also held at the UCER conference hall, which was presided over by Prof Nithikethkul. Six prestigious universities, including five from foreign countries and one from India, along with two hospitals, participated in the meeting.

These six universities include Mariano Marcos State University (MMSU), Philippines, Buriram Rajabhat University (BRU), Thailand, University of Rovira I Virgili (URV), Spain, Bangkok University, Thailand, United University (UU), India, and Mahasarakham University (MSU), Thailand. Similarly, the two hospitals of Thailand include Roiet Hospital and Seraphumi Hospital.

Principals and Deans from UGI colleges were also present in the meeting.

Earlier, the scientists also visited United University (UU) and United Institute of Medical Sciences (UIMS) in Rawatpur and admired the state-of-the-art facilities being provided to students.
