A two-day event United Youth Parliament (UYP) held at the United Auditorium of United Group of Institutions (UGI), Naini. Ex vice chancellor of Banaras Hindu University (BHU) and chairman, Higher Education Council, Uttar Pradesh Dr GC Tripathi inaugurated the two-day event as chief guest by lighting the lamp in the presence of dignitaries. In the program, the students in the role of Member of Parliaments (MPs) depicted the scenes from the Parliament where the leaders from the ruling and the opposition parties indulged in heated arguments to justify their statements and opinions. Member of Parliament (MP) and academician Dr Rita Bahuguna Joshi was the chief guest on the occasion. Addressing students, Dr Joshi told the participating students about the importance of Indian Constitution and Law and how they differ from other countries. The first session of the event witnessed deliberations and debates on significant contemporary national issues including caste-based reservation, equality, women empowerment, communal harmony, religious tolerance, feminism, and terrorism. Talks on the current status of feminism in India with special emphasis on the rising number of fake allegations were also held during the session National Commission for Women (NCW).
